Graphical Representation of Dance in VR (Motion Bank)
Applied research into graphical representation of the body in Virtual Reality. The author uses his previous knowledge and experience in dance & technology at Motion Bank (Project originally founded by choreographer William Forsythe) to create and document a simple visual representation of the body in VR that allows the user to move its body in new ways. VR is deployed to create an experience where introspection can be achieved and open possibilities for somatic and movement practices to become transhuman experiences.

The project Movement, Digital Intelligence and Interactive Audience (MODINA) aims to expand the creative possibilities for contemporary dance performances, and augment the experience for the audience, using digital technology – with an emphasis on exploring artificial intelligence (AI) and audience interaction, on-site and online. This aim has two interconnected approaches, targeting dance artists, media artists (creative technologists) and audiences.
